North Dakota Funeral Homes and Memorial Trees

Trees have always been a part of life from the time dinosaurs roamed the earth to today’s more technically advanced world. Trees have survived through some of the world’s most unforeseen catastrophes, have been revered for their spiritual power by native peoples and are also known as a gateway to another world since they have been around for so long. Trees in the form of memorials have become an integral part of the grieving process found in many North Dakota funeral homes.

In today’s world, memorial trees they are becoming part of burial plots picked out in a more modern North Dakota funeral homes. In many cultures, it is believed that with the death of someone, life is given and in this case it is true. Once a person has passed away, a tree can be planted in their memory anywhere in the world. The tree is then taken care of and becomes part of the world of trees as well as a growing memory of the person whose life it represents.

The natural world of trees is much smaller than is used to be. Rainforests used to cover about 14 percent of the world and now they only cover about 6 percent. They are disappearing in fact many experts say that the last rainforests will be torn down as well in a matter of forty years. Many trees are being ripped from their roots and not enough are being planted in order to help spread the lives of trees, which is very important to us as humans. Reforestation has become a global event and many people have already pitched in to help replant hundreds of trees in order to help their future.

As a person who dies from the world, we have a chance to give back something we have helped to take away while here on earth. Whether it was through notebook paper to study with, firewood to keep us warm or even to build a fire to cook on we all have helped in the destruction of one of life’s elders. Through death we are given the chance to give back and replant a tree- which restores the trees we have used during our lifetime.

When a person buys a burial plot at the North Dakota funeral home they can also choose a memorial tree as an option. Once a person has passed away, the funeral home will take it upon themselves to contact the organization who will plant the tree. Once it has been planted, family members of the deceased will receive a paper in the mail from their funeral home which defines where the tree is planted which can be anywhere in the world and what organization will be taking care of the tree such as making sure it has water and things of that nature. These trees are being called memorial tress since they are planted in the name of someone passing away.

Through ancient customs as well, tree planting after ones’ death has been a normal occurrence. Many ancient civilizations believed that when their deceased loved ones passed away they would be reborn into another life, the afterlife. For our generation, things have not changed too much because a lot of people believe that there is an afterlife in heaven.

By planting a tree, a person can have a sense of a rebirth of the person they have lost and many believe that their spirit lies within that tree. Others may believe it is all fantasy and when you have died, you are just dead and that is it. Our world is made up of those who believe in certain things while others believe everything can be explained through science. When it comes to planting a tree for your loved one you should never think twice about it if you believe that your loved one will be either reborn through the tree, loved trees their whole life or you get a sense of pride and happiness by planting a tree in their name.

Everyone should have the right to believe the way they want to and express themselves and what better way to express yourself than to have a tree planted after the one that you love or even after yourself once you have left earth. It is simple to have a tree planted for yourself or a family member and you can even arrange for it to be planted in a park near you or even in your backyard so that you can see the tree grow and take care of it yourself if you wish.

Just talk to your local funeral home in North Dakota or the funeral home in which is going to take care of your loved ones once they pass away or even for yourself. Once you have added a memorial tree to your burial plot your funeral home will have no problem in making sure it is carried out and that there is a tree planted in memory of yourself or your loved one. It is never too late to give back to our planet and everyone should do something even if it happens to be through a tree.
