Cremation Service

A Cremation Service can be difficult to plan when you are grieving the loss of a loved one. Cremation Options is here to earn your trust by providing the proper guidance in planning a suitable cremation service for your loved one.  Our professional staff is here 24 hours a day to assist you with all of your questions and concerns.  Our professionals strive to help you decide which type of service would best suit your loved one.  In fact, selecting a cremation service increases your options when planning a funeral.  Our goal is to provide this website as a tool for you to acquire as much accurate information as possible. This will help you in selecting the appropriate arrangements for you and your family.  It is imperative to consider all types of available cremation services.

  1. Direct Cremation

This option is cremating a decedent without any type of gathering or service.  Your loved one will be transported directly to the crematory and in accordance with state laws and after authorizations are signed, cremation will take place.  Following the cremation, families have the option of choosing a decorative cremation urn for  their  loved one or if they are not able to purchase an urn at this time, they can have their loved one’s cremains placed inside of a hard plastic or corrugated temporary receptacle.

  2. Cremation with a Memorial Gathering or Service

In this case, when an individual passes away, the decedent will be placed in either an alternative container or a casket with cremation to follow. The ceremony may take place at the funeral home, an outdoor place, religious facility or another location.  Families will usually place photographs and mementos throughout the facility. This will allow visitors to reminisce, share stories and begin the healing process.  The family will have a memorial service with or without the cremated remains present. If the cremated remains are going to be placed in a niche/columbarium or are to be buried in a cemetery, interment can take place immediately following the memorial service with or without a funeral procession.

  3. Traditional Funeral Service with Cremation to Follow

This type of ceremony is the same as a traditional burial service with the exception of cremating instead of going to the cemetery for an earth burial.  You may choose to purchase a cremation casket or you can rent a “rental casket” for the formal visitation.  It provides a substantial savings to the family to rent a casket for the visitation. After the service your loved one can be placed in an inexpensive alternative container which is suitable for the cremation process.  You may decide to have a visitation with an open casket, closed casket or a private family viewing with cremation to follow.   After the visitation period, there will be some type of memorial service and then, after the service, the decedent will be cremated.  Just as when the family goes in procession to the cemetery, the family may opt to follow in procession to the crematory.  A traditional cremation service of this kind will better provide closure and comfort for some people to begin healing.

When planning the cremation service, you and your family should discuss where the final resting place for your loved one’s cremated remains will be.  A few distinctive suggestions are:  interment at a cemetery / mausoleum, inside the casket of a relative when they pass in the future, scattered at one’s favorite place on land or at sea, launched into space for eternity, placement in a coral reef in the ocean, simply placed inside a cremation urn to personally keep or placed in several keepsake receptacles for dispersal to family members.

Often when a family plans a cremation service for their loved one, they are unfamiliar with the many types of services that are available. No matter which type of disposition is selected, the opportunity to personalize and carry out your loved one’s wishes while making arrangements is priceless.  Our goal is to help bring peace of mind to you and your family by providing the most respectful service at the lowest possible cost.  For more information on planning a cremation service for your loved one, please fill out the contact us information and a representative will mail you cremation brochures immediately.
